I was born and raised near Cape Town, South Africa, and graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2002. I have over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist across a wide range of clinical areas. My experience includes specific expertise in managing spinal cord injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, stroke, and other neurological rehabilitation, gained during my five years at Medstar NRH. Over the past four years, as a solo practitioner, I have also gained significant experience in helping individuals aged 30-60 recover from injuries and adopt healthier lifestyles. I am currently licensed to practice in Washington, DC, and Maryland.
Why choose me?
It's just me, a small dad-owned business. We'll work together to set functional, achievable goals, and if you need me between sessions, you can reach me via email or phone.
I'll come to your home, so you'll save time and effort on travel. Appointments will conveniently even be available some weekday evenings. Many clinics are unable to schedule appointments for several weeks. I'll aim to schedule your evaluation a few days after we connect.
I have more than 20 years of experience in a wide variety of practice areas. Even though my scope of practice is quite broad, I have more experience in certain areas. I will not sign on as your therapist unless I believe that I have the tools that you need to successfully meet your goals.
I provide longer, 45-60 minute sessions, exclusively with me, ensuring that you will need less sessions to meet your goals. There are no copays, just my fee, and I can provide a superbill to claim against your deductible or from out-of-network benefits.
Wellness options
Just like you go for annual physical exams and take your car in for regular maintenance, your body can also benefit from careful consideration about how it is functioning. I offer wellness options that allow us to work together to prevent future injuries and slow down regression of your condition. This isn't traditionally covered by insurance plans so not offered by other clinics.
